Job Summary
Two-person married couple on-campus Flex Houseparents provide daily supervision, mentorship, supervision of household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and household reporting, with a nine-on/four-off cycle evolving into a placed houseparent living with the same group of students; relocation to Hershey, PA; comprehensive benefits including health/dental/vision, retirement, life insurance, disability options, paid time off, relocation assistance, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
Additional Requirements
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
