Job Summary
Two-person, full-time flex houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, responsible for supervising 8–13 students in on-campus homes, providing mentorship, daily routines, medication administration, transportation to activities, leading devotions and chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off, to a placed houseparent assignment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Proven experience working with youth or volunteers in youth settings
- willingness to drive student home vans
- Capable of leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
