Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA reside on campus in student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide daily supervision and mentorship, manage household routines and schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and participate in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and eventually transition to a placed houseparent with the same student group. The role requires a legally married couple (both spouses 27+) with at least a high school diploma or GED, willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, a valid U.S. driver’s license with van-certification ability, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with no alcohol on duty. The position includes relocation assistance and paid training, and provides comprehensive benefits; salary is $46,917 per person (approx. $180,000 total per couple). Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
