Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and mentorship for a group of 8–13 students. The two-person, legally married couple administers daily routines, medications, transportation to activities, and developmentally engaging activities, with responsibilities including budgeting, reporting, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. The role begins with a nine-on, three-off schedule across multiple student homes and transitions to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group. Relocation to Hershey, PA is provided, along with comprehensive benefits and paid training. Requires high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver's license and ability to drive student vans, a commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married couple requirement (two-person role)
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Comfort leading devotions and Judeo-Christian Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Experience with youth (working or volunteering)
