Job Summary
Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: Full-time, two-person couple positioning living in on-campus student homes to supervise 8–13 students, provide daily care, mentorship, supervision of routines, medication administration, transportation to activities, and engagement in devotional and Chapel activities. Responsibilities include budgeting and reporting for the household, planning and leading development and recreation activities, driving students to activities, and supporting multiple homes on a rotating nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule with eventual placement into a fixed home. Requires high school diploma or GED, two-person married couple (both spouses 27+), valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, experience with youth, and willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA with relocation and training provided. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA or reside on-campus
- Pass background and safe environment checks
