Job Summary
Houseparents (Full-Time) for Milton Hershey School: married couples live on campus in student homes, provide care, supervision, and mentorship for 8–13 students, manage household routines, supervise activities and schedule, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting; initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Houseparent in the same home. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free, weapon-free campus; couples must complete individual applications for consideration and relocation is provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
