Job Summary
Houseparents (two-person married couple) at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes, supervise and mentor ~8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition to a Placed Houseparent role over time. Nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off during initial phase, with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits included. Salary per person is $44,768 with total compensation around $168,000 per couple when housing, meals, utilities, and benefits are included. Requires a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; and adherence to Judeo-Christian chapel activities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Proven ability to lead students in devotions and chapel
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA and reside on-campus
