Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus at Milton Hershey School, serving as a two-person team to supervise and support a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with a transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Requires a two-person married couple arrangement, high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke- and weapon-free campus.”,
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Proselytizing prohibited
