Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside on campus in Hershey, PA and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in a home. Responsibilities include supervising daily activities, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning to a Placed Houseparent role with the same student group. The position requires a legally married two-person couple for the on-campus home, ability to lift 50 lbs, and compliance with campus safety and religious guidelines; relocation assistance and paid training are provided. Salary is $44,768 per person (approximately $168,000 per couple when combined, including housing and benefits). Relocation assistance included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement: both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Chapel services
- Two-year marriage minimum (two-person role)
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
