Job Summary
Two-person, Full-Time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School reside on campus in a student home, supervise and mentor a group of 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and accompany Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, with a work cycle of nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, and potential transition to a placed Houseparent role; relocation assistance is provided and compensation includes salary per person with comprehensive benefits. This role requires both spouses to complete individual employment applications and emphasizes stability, integrity, mentorship, and a commitment to the students’ academic, emotional, and social development.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and chapel services
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
