Job Summary
Two-person full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Married couples reside in on-campus student homes (groups of ~8–13 students) and provide supervision, mentorship, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan developmental/recreational activities, lead daily devotions, and supervise budgeting/household reporting. Initially nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent in their own student home. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid time off, and training. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and both spouses must be legally married for at least two years; both spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
