Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple Full-Time Flex Houseparents needed at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples reside on-campus in student homes (8–13 students) and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support, including daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing household routines and budgeting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living/work arrangement with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with total compensation per couple around $168,000, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, PTO, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; model for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to reside on-campus in student homes and follow a nine-on/four-off schedule
- Proven reliability and teamwork for a two-person role
