Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA (relocation provided). Couples reside in on-campus student homes, supervising 8–13 students, providing daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a placed houseparent living with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, and paid time off. Requires high school diploma or GED, two-year married status for both spouses, age 27+, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and adherence to campus behavior policies.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Willingness to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
