Job Summary
Two-person married couple Full-Time Flex Houseparents reside on-campus at Milton Hershey School to care for a group of 8–13 students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and support. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same student group. This role includes relocation to the on-campus homes and a comprehensive benefits package with health, retirement, paid time off, and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Additional Requirements
- No alcohol permitted while on duty
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
