Job Summary
Two-person married-couple role residing in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, then transitions to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students in their own home. Salary per person is $46,917 (approximately $180,000 total per couple with full benefits) with relocation assistance and paid training included.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement for consideration (married couples)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Relocation to Hershey, PA or campus housing provided
- Willingness to reside on-campus in student homes
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- No alcohol on duty; smoke-free and weapon-free campus
