Job Summary
Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: Full-time flex Houseparents for married couples living in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, and development activities for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, scheduling, medication administration, transportation to activities, planning developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel attendance, budgeting, and household reporting. Initial schedule: nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home. Benefits include salary per person of $46,917 plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year marriage
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Comfort leading devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Two-person role for couples
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA or Monrovia, CA (per hint)
- Background/clearance as needed for student residence environment
