Job Summary
Houseparents (Full-Time) for Milton Hershey School: married couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide supervision, mentorship, and care for approximately 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions, and participate in chapels. Initially 9 days on duty followed by 3 days off, with eventual placement in a shared student home. Includes relocation to Hershey, PA, paid training, comprehensive benefits, and housing/utilities/meal provisions. Requires two spouses who are legally married for at least two years and both aged 27+, with a high school diploma or GED; driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs; commitment to a drug- and alcohol-free campus; and ability to lead religious services within Judeo-Christian context. Also includes a generous total compensation estimate of approximately $168,000 per couple, plus housing and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to serve as role models for students
