Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent roles for married couples residing in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, and guidance for groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing routines and schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, and coordinating budgeting and reporting. The role evolves from a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule to a placed houseparent placement living with the same student group. Requires experience with youth, a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and comfort leading faith-based activities within a JC environment. Benefits include relocation assistance, paid training, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, and PTO; salary is $46,917 per person (approximately $180,000 total per couple including housing and meals).
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
