Job Summary
Houseparents (married-couple) in a full-time, on-campus role live in student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning/developing activities, leading daily devotions, and budgeting/household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Requires relocation to Hershey, PA; benefits include comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, and paid time off. Two-spouse, legally married for at least two years, both spouses must complete individual applications; minimum education is a high school diploma or GED; ability to lift 50 lbs and obtain driving certification for student vans; on-campus housing is part of compensation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse two-person role
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Experience with youth
- Proselytizing prohibited (religious setting)
- Commitment to smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Relocation to Hershey, PA
