Job Summary
Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to serve as Full-Time Flex Houseparents in on-campus student homes. The two-person team will reside with 8–13 students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care, including managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental and recreational activities, and leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. They will oversee budgeting and household reporting, initially support multiple homes on a rotating schedule (nine days on, three off) and later transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same group. Relocation assistance is provided, along with comprehensive benefits. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, valid U.S. driver’s license with potential to drive student vans, and a commitment to a safe, Christian-oriented campus culture. Applicants must be a legally married couple, both 27+ years old, with up to three dependent children, and complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for married couples
- Legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
