Job Summary
Houseparents (Full-Time Flex Houseparents) for Milton Hershey School: a two-person, married-couple role residing in on-campus student homes to supervise and mentor 8–13 students, manage household routines, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan development and recreational activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting; schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a long-term houseparent in the same student home; relocation to Hershey, PA, with benefits including salary per person and relocation assistance; requires on-campus living, strong youth-care experience, high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license; two spouses must complete individual applications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
