Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents needed at Milton Hershey School to live in on-campus student homes and supervise a group of ~8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and being part of a legally married couple at least two years with both spouses aged 27 or older. Relocation assistance provided; benefits include medical/dental/vision, HSAs/FSAs, life and disability, retirement savings, and paid time off. Location: Hershey, PA, on-campus housing with a fully on-site work schedule and a nine-days-on/three-days-off pattern during the initial period.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-models for students
