Job Summary
Houseparents provide housing and mentorship in on-campus student homes, supervising 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role begins as a Flex Houseparent with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule before transitioning to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Relocation to Hershey, PA is required; couples reside together in the same home and share a single salary structure, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, paid time off, and relocation assistance; training is provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two years of marriage or more
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples (must apply together)
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
