Job Summary
Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents, living on campus in a two-person role to supervise and mentor a group of ~8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, implementing routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental/recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent with the same student group. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with relocation to Hershey, PA; benefits include salary per person (~$44,768) plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. To be considered, both spouses must complete individual employment applications; candidates must meet the listed qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse eligibility
- Legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No alcohol on duty
- Pet limitations: fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
