Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside on campus in a student home in Hershey, PA, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, with duties including daily supervision, medication administration, transportation to activities, planning and engaging in development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from nine days on / three days off to a placed houseparent arrangement. This is a two-person role for legally married couples, requiring both spouses to participate in individual applications; relocation assistance is provided as part of the compensation package. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license with willingness to become certified to drive student home vans, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus with no alcohol while on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year marriage duration for couples
- Both spouses aged 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role modeling for students
- Two-person, on-campus housing arrangement with children in residence
- Ability to reside on campus in Hershey, PA and follow school calendar (days on duty and days off)
