Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two-person, married couple) reside in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School and provide care, mentorship, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and supporting multiple homes with a phased placement to a single student home. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; later transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role models for students
