Job Summary
Houseparents (Full-Time) for Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, a two-person, married-couple role based in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, and mentorship to groups of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving to activities, leading devotions and chapel, and managing budgeting/household reporting. Schedule begins with nine days on, three days off; later transition to a placed Houseparent with the same student group. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768), comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and a commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus. Both spouses must complete individual employment applications; relocation to Hershey, PA is required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth

- Must be married couple applying together (two individual applications)
- No more than two adults in student home
- On-campus housing provided
- US work authorization required
