Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School: a two-person, married-couple role residing in on-campus student homes to provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in development and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initially a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule with eventual transition to a placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person (~$46,917), comprehensive insurance, retirement options, relocation assistance, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
