Job Summary
Two-person Full-Time Flex Houseparents (married couple) live in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, supervising and mentoring approximately 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel events, and overseeing household budgeting and reporting. They follow a nine-on/three-off schedule initially, then transition to a placed houseparent role with continuous supervision of the same student group. Relocation assistance is provided; benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, disability options, retirement savings, paid time off, and training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse, two-person role must be filled by married couple
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Two spouses aged 27 or older
- Desire to relocate to Hershey, PA area
