Job Summary
Houseparents (Full-Time) for Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, residing on-campus and supervising a group of 8–13 students in a home setting. Couples provide care, guidance, supervision, and a structured, family-like environment; responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The position starts with a nine-days-on/three-days-off cycle, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same student group. Relocation assistance and extensive benefits are provided; requires on-campus residence and a two-person married couple arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role model for students
