Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School live on-campus in student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and developmental activities for a group of about 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a consistent student-home assignment. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
