Job Summary
Milton Hershey School seeks married couples to serve as Full-Time Flex Houseparents on campus in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes with 8–13 students, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and support, including managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmentally-focused activities, leading devotions, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. Initially, couples work nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, then transition to a placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. The position includes relocation assistance, paid training, comprehensive benefits, and a total compensation around $180,000 per couple. The roles require two spouses who are legally married for at least two years, both aged 27 or older, with a valid driver’s license and the ability to meet physical requirements, all while maintaining a smoke-free, weapon-free campus and adhering to Judeo-Christian Chapel involvement guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
