Job Summary
Houseparents provide daily supervision and mentorship, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, plan and actively engage in developmental and recreational activities with students, lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel, and oversee budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a single student home and continued live-in responsibilities in a family-like environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for legally married couples for at least two years
- Spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
