Job Summary
Houseparents (Full-Time Flex) at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, reside on campus in student homes to provide care, supervision, and guidance for 8–13 students, including daily routines, medication administration, transportation to activities, planning and leading development and recreational activities, daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, with a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule and eventual placement in a single student home; both spouses must apply individually and meet the two-person, married-couple requirements, including age and family-size constraints.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
