Job Summary
Flex Houseparents (two married spouses) live in on-campus student homes at Milton Hershey School, providing daily supervision, mentorship, and care for a group of 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and reporting, and adapting to a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule with eventual placement in a single student home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-model behavior for students
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
