Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and household management for a group of 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Administer medications, drive students to activities, and lead daily devotions and chapel services. Plan and engage in developmental and recreational activities while overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Work nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with unscheduled weekday time when students are in school. This two-person role for married couples resides in Hershey, PA, supporting a career-focused education for over 2,200 students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
