Job Summary
Houseparents live on campus at Milton Hershey School and manage a student home, providing daily care, structure, and supervision to a group of students. Responsibilities include coordinating routines (wake-up, meals, homework, recreation, bedtime), supporting development of study habits and life skills, monitoring student progress and behavior, and collaborating with teachers, health services, and other staff. The role emphasizes role-modeling, conflict-resolution coaching, and maintaining a safe, inclusive home environment aligned with school policies. Candidates should bring experience with children or youth, comfort working in a multicultural setting, strong communication and teamwork, and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
