Job Summary
Houseparents live on campus and provide daily care, structure, and supervision for a group of students in a residential setting. The role involves coordinating routines (wake-up, meals, homework, recreation, bedtime), supporting students’ academic and life-skill development, and modeling positive behavior within an inclusive, diverse environment. Responsibilities include coordinating with teachers and health services, maintaining safe living spaces, planning recreational and cultural activities, guiding conflict resolution and personal responsibility, and ensuring adherence to school policies. Housing is typically provided, and candidates may be an individual houseparent or a couple partnering together to support students across the pre-K–12th grade program at Milton Hershey School. The position is on-campus and full-time, requiring high energy, empathy, and strong organizational skills, with emphasis on collaboration, equity, inclusion, and professional development.
