Job Summary
Houseparents live on campus in school-provided housing and supervise a group of students in a residential home, coordinating daily routines (wake-up, meals, homework, recreation, and bedtime) and supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. They coach students in conflict resolution and life skills, maintain a safe and inclusive living environment, collaborate with teachers, health services, and staff, and participate in community-building activities and cultural experiences. The role requires energy, empathy, patience, organizational skill, and the ability to manage household logistics (meal planning, basic budgeting, transportation to functions) while upholding school policies and a mission-driven culture.
Required Qualifications
- experience working with children or youth
- on-campus residential care experience preferred
- ability to follow established protocols
- strong communication and teamwork skills
