Job Summary
Houseparents live on campus in school-provided housing and manage a student home, providing daily care, structure, and supervision for a group of students. They coordinate daily routines (wake-up, meals, homework, recreation, bedtime), support development of study habits and life skills, and collaborate with teachers, health services, and staff to meet students’ needs in a respectful, inclusive environment. Responsibilities include behavior guidance, conflict resolution coaching, planning recreational activities, and participating in community and cultural experiences. Strong role-modeling, teamwork, and the ability to follow school policies are essential. Experience with children or youth in teaching, coaching, social services, childcare, or residential care is required. The role is on-campus and requires living in school-provided housing with on-duty time and scheduled time off; compensation includes salary, benefits, and housing, along with ongoing professional development in areas like child development and trauma-informed practices.
