Job Summary
Live-in Houseparents on Milton Hershey School campus to supervise and support a group of students, coordinating daily routines, promoting safety, equity, inclusion, and positive character development, and collaborating with teachers and health services to meet students’ needs in a consistent, caring environment. Responsibilities include creating a safe living environment, coordinating wake-ups, meals, homework, recreation, and bedtimes; coaching students in conflict resolution and personal responsibility; communicating with school staff and support services; planning activities and maintaining a clean, orderly home; and contributing to a mission-driven culture through teamwork and empathy.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with children or youth
- Ability to live on campus in school-provided housing
- Comfortable working in a multicultural environment
- Strong communication skills and teamwork
- Ability to follow established protocols and contribute to a mission-driven culture
- Capacity to coach students in conflict resolution, social skills, and personal responsibility
- Willingness to coordinate routines (wake-up, meals, homework, recreation, bedtime) and supervise students
- Experience in planning activities, transportation coordination, and maintaining a safe living environment
