Job Summary
Houseparents live on campus at Milton Hershey School and manage a student home, providing daily care, structure, and supervision for a group of students. Responsibilities include coordinating wake-ups, meals, homework, recreation, and bedtimes; supporting students in developing study habits, life skills, and positive character traits; communicating with teachers, health services, and staff; coaching students in conflict resolution and personal responsibility; planning recreational activities and community service; and maintaining a safe, respectful living environment. The role requires energy, empathy, patience, organizational skills, and the ability to follow school protocols within a residential setting. Experience with children or youth and comfort working in a multicultural environment are essential.
