Job Summary
Houseman at The Inn at Little Washington serves as the operational backbone of the Housekeeping department. Responsibilities include logistics, heavy support, and behind-the-scenes preparation to enable the housekeeping team to deliver a flawless guest experience. The role manages linen, towels, robes, amenities, and cleaning supplies, performs laundry tasks, maintains inventory and PAR levels, and supports deep cleaning and maintenance across public areas and guest room buildings. Duties also include assisting with guest-requested items, ensuring cleanliness and presentation to Five-Star standards, and communicating with the Housekeeping Supervisor. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, physically capable, and able to work independently or collaboratively within a luxury-setting team. Five-Star standards, sanitation protocols, and flexible weekend/holiday availability are emphasized, with growth opportunities and competitive compensation offered.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high attention to detail
- Proficiency with standard housekeeping equipment including linen carts, vacuums, mops, floor machines, and cleaning chemicals
- Must be well-groomed and well-presented with no visible tattoos
