Job Summary
Maintain and clean hotel areas behind the scenes by assisting housekeepers with hallway, floor, and doorway cleaning, trash removal, and linen transport. Adhere to prescribed departmental sequences while cleaning guest rooms, stocking linens, and completing assigned checklists. Collaborate with leadership to foster open communication through daily line-ups and monthly meetings, actively reporting furniture or carpeting issues to engineering. Work in a fast-paced environment following safety protocols, requiring the ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently or 100 lbs with assistance, and stand or walk for prolonged periods. A flexible schedule is required, potentially including evenings, weekends, or holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Conversational proficiency of the English language to receive and execute verbal and written communication and direction
- Adaptable interpersonal communication skills to address employees at all levels of the hotel
- Ability to lift, balance and carry up to 50 lbs. to transport carts, cleaning supplies, linen, equipment, etc.
- Ability to lift, balance and carry (with assistance) up to 100 lbs. to transport mattresses, inventory, equipment, etc.
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods to clean and organize the guest rooms, spaces, storage, equipment, etc.
- A flexible schedule, as sometimes you may have to work evenings, weekends, or a holiday as events don�t only happen during the week
Desired Qualifications
- Previous work experience within Housekeeping preferred
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety procedures and requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods of time to meet high volume business
