Job Summary
Housekeeping Utility Attendant responsible for heavy-duty cleaning of public spaces and back-of-house areas, including moving furniture, carpet shampooing, cleaning high areas and window coverings, scrubbing walls/doors, deep cleaning bathrooms, stripping/waxing floors, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and disinfecting with electrostatic sprayer. Maintains and cleans equipment, restocks supply closets, and adheres to established cleaning guidelines. Must operate cleaning equipment and handle cleaning chemicals safely; weekend/holiday availability required; 11pm-7am shift in Altoona, IA.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous heavy duty cleaning experience, specifically involving floor care with commercial/industrial cleaning equipment
- Ability to use power cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, shampooers
- Must pay close attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication with diverse backgrounds
- Understanding of cleaning procedures and rotation of duties
- Indoor environment exposure to wet floors and cleaning chemicals
- Standing and walking 8-10 hours; ability to lift 50 pounds frequently; push/pull up to 100 pounds; carry up to 30 pounds while using sprayer for long periods
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
