Job Summary
Manage rotas, oversee stock control, and prioritize workloads for the cleaning team while performing daily housekeeping duties. Ensure all cleaning products and equipment are used safely, adhering to health and safety procedures and infection prevention policies. Monitor stock levels, conduct audits, maintain training records, and serve as the primary contact for resolving work area or equipment issues. Provide daily supervision including task scheduling, inductions, staff development, and managing leave. Maintain full compliance with audit requirements and support multi-shift structures including weekends. Report to the Facilities Manager.
Required Qualifications
- SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Housekeeping or an equivalent qualification
- Experience in a supervisory & management of housekeeping or domestic services role within a hospital or healthcare setting
- Self‐motivated with strong organisational skills
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of service efficiency
- Confident using data systems and computer applications
- Ability to carry out manual handling tasks involving frequent, moderate physical effort throughout each shift
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support staff effectively
- Required to support multi shift structure, including unsociable and weekends as the business requires
