Job Summary
Serve as the go-to resource for housekeeping team members, answering questions and providing day-to-day guidance. Act as the department lead in the absence of the Housekeeping Supervisor, ensuring smooth operations and appropriate staff coverage. Assist with training, onboarding, and coaching while reinforcing department policies, procedures, and quality standards. Coordinate daily work assignments, monitor performance, and inspect assigned areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and sanitation expectations are met. Work alongside the team to complete routine cleaning duties, support special projects, and assist in Residential and Medical Housekeeping areas as needed. Maintain department readiness by monitoring supplies and equipment, promoting safety and regulatory compliance, and communicating operational needs to leadership. Full-time Monday through Friday with rotating weekends and flexible shifts available.
Required Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, safety standards, and housekeeping equipment
- Ability to train, coach, and motivate team members
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing operational needs
- Working knowledge of residential and medical housekeeping practices
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and provide shift coverage when needed
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff
- Reliable transportation to work
- Punctuality
