Job Summary
Conduct daily supervision of housekeeping staff, including room attendants, housekeepers, and janitors, while assigning tasks to ensure adequate coverage and efficiency. Inspect guest rooms and common areas to verify cleanliness, address maintenance needs, and resolve guest complaints promptly. Lead regular training sessions on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service, while enforcing the use of personal protective equipment and compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with front desk and maintenance departments to coordinate services and provide operational updates to management. Requires high school education with preferred hospitality experience and ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school education
- Ability to operate a computer, phone and other office equipment
- Physical work including extended standing and walking
- Climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling
- Lifting to 50 lbs
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises
- Following basic safety precautions and use of applicable protective equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Schooling in hospitality management, business or related experience
- Familiarity with hospitality industry practices
- Knowledge of housekeeping principles and practices along with proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies
