Job Summary
Directs housekeeping program of hotel to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions by supervising work activities of housekeeping staff consisting of 1-10 employees. Provides training, including safety training and standard operating procedures, and ensures adherence to company quality standards by inspecting rooms, including deep cleans. Distributes keys and work assignments, addresses guest complaints regarding service or equipment, and monitors linen and guest supply inventory. Reports maintenance repairs to maintenance staff and records repair information in maintenance log. Completes follow-up on vacant or occupied rooms, assumes function of Housekeeper as necessary, and takes control of lost and found items. Assists General Manager in personnel selection and management staff in assuring efficient procedures. Requires 6 months to 1+ year of similar experience, ability to clean rooms per brand standards, and high school degree or better.
Required Qualifications
- High School degree or better
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to clean rooms in accordance with specific brand and company minutes per room standard
- Ability to clean areas as directed by supervisor
