Job Summary
Oversee weekly inventory needs, billing, and quality control for commercial laundry and linen providers while managing purchasing of all housekeeping supplies and equipment. Lead, recruit, hire, schedule, and train housekeeping and custodial staff in safe equipment operation, chemical use, and efficient cleaning techniques. Develop year-round cleaning schedules based on staff availability, public use, and industry standards, and assist with occasional building maintenance projects like painting and snow removal. Coordinate operations with the maintenance department and support planning for major park events and outdoor education programs. Work a rotating schedule involving weekends and holidays during park season.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in housekeeping or custodial work
- Two years of experience in supervising assigned workers
- Coursework or training in supervision, management, or organization of custodial/housekeeping activities and processes
- Two years' experience in custodial/housekeeping work
- Driver's license
